I hold a full UK amateur radio license with callsign M0̸ZCJ
. I can regularly be heard taking part in the European VHF/UHF activity nights during the week and on HF at the weekend if/when I can.
I’m a member of the Cambridge University Wireless Society which can be heard on the air under its club callsign as G6UW. The club stocks a full range of equipment for all the VHF/UHF bands and most of the HF bands, including two tilt-over adjustable-height towers, a range of different types of antennas and several power amplifiers allowing transmission up to full legal power of 400 watts.
I am also a part of the Camb-Hams who can often be heard entering contests under the callsign G3PYE (often /P) or seen at events with their mobile communications vehicle, nicknamed Flossie.
I regularly upload my logs electronically to QRZ.com, Clublog and ARRL LoTW, but do not collect any physical QSL cards.
In addition to my amateur radio license, I also hold a Supplier’s Light business radio license which allows me to lend out business radios for small events and such. This often comes in handy for my technical theatre work. If you are looking to hire radios for your event then please get in touch.
