Charlie Jonas

I work as a Software Developer at Dotmatics where I write bioinformatics and electronic lab notebook software for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. I hold a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and am a member of Fitzwilliam College.

In my free time I enjoy pursuing different aspects of technical theatre, particularly sound design. I have been lucky enough to travel the world as a result of this and have taken touring amateur theatrical productions around the UK, Europe, Japan and the United States.

I juggle the hats of user support, software development and system administration for both Camdram, the hub website for student theatre in Cambridge, and the ADC Theatre’s Room Booking System. Occasionally I also put my skills to use with the SRCF as one of their volunteers.

In the remnants of any other free time I have, I enjoy playing the piano and getting involved with the busy amateur radio scene here in Cambridge. I have an interest in climbing which, coupled with my work in amateur radio and theatrics, has meant that I’ve developed proficiency in working at height with fall arrest equipment and rope access techniques.
